This morning I returned to Istanbul from Cape Town. When I was walking through Atatürk International Airport I noticed that they had a 'Health Check' booth setup at the entrance to the passport control line. Two things about this scenario were unusual, the sign was written in English and the thermal camera's were only pointed at the line for the non-Turkish citizens. I was unable to take a picture of the booth, however, there is one in this article titled 'Swine Flu Panic in Atatürk Airport'.
I found a better picture of the booth and an article in english. The booth was sitting between the Turkish and Non-Turkish citizen lines, it is clear from this vantage point that only the non-Turkish citizens are being 'scanned'.
